Hello all,
It’s high time for another post. Life at Dogwood Design Woodworks has been in overdrive. The main focus of the past six or so months has been finishing the wood turning studio. With the help of friends, family and a front-end loader we were able to get it built. It was a big day when we moved the Stubby lathe in.

With the lathe in place, I turned attention to production. Getting ready for a show with Narra Cox of Garden Harvest Pottery, I have been turning a large variety of pieces. Bowl, vases, salt boxes, and bottle openers have been filling the studio with wood shavings. If you are in the area and have an interest in local pottery or wood work you should stop by the show, coming up on December 4th and 5th 2021.
Here are the show details:
Round and Round Home Show and Sale
Saturday, December 4th, 9am – 12pm
Sunday, December 5th, 1pm – 4pm
Address: 5207 Buttonbush Drive, Fitchburg WI
We are following COVID protocols and asking that all attendees be fully vaccinated and wear a mask.
Check out Dogwood Design’s newest inventory at the show, including fresh bottle openers. While it was not proven through a blind taste test that opening a beer with a quilted maple bottle opener improved the taste, it certainly made it a bit classier. Class up your own life or give some classy gifts this season with local, handmade wood pieces right from the new workshop.
Cheers,
Ben
